Sasquatch vs Component drivers?

Like I said in the other thread I was looking for a fairly cheap component driver for around $150, but by the time I choose the shaft I wanted and with shipping it was like $220 for the Bang Storm. Then I looked at the Tech Power DVF 450 and that ended up being $170. Would it be better to just go with the Sasquatch since it's only $200? I want a stiff shaft, but I heard that the stiff shafts in these drivers aren't really "stiff"?

How would you compare the UST V2 stiff shaft that I was going to get with a component driver to the stiff shaft in the Sasquatch?

I like the v2 shaft quite a bit, but it is def for a certain type of hitter. With that being said the "factory" diamana in the sasquatch is a good shaft. I def think the SQ will be more accurate and longer (as long as the specs for you are right) than any component club you try and piece together

Cool

I've had good luck with component drivers, I've got 3 of them. You might want to check with Goflsmith for some deals on packages with the head and shaft along with the grip. You can find some good deals on older model heads also. I paid $200 for my SnakeEyes Viper 600TC driver and it came with an Aldila NV shaft and grip, plus head cover. It's still one of my favorite drivers.

I agree.....I would get the SQ and re-shaft it.

Get the SQ and try it with the Nike Diamana it felt awfully stiff to me. I swing R flex and the R flex on this felt like S to me.

I also have the sasquatch and i'm looking to get it re-shafted also. Can someone give me a price range on how much it would cost?

i bought a sq over the summer and put a stiff grafalloy prolaunch in it. i do NOT recommend that combination...im very unhappy with it and have yet to hit it good. And i usually hit my driver good about 285 yards on the fly and im a 6 handicapper 14 year-old. i havent been able to keep that distance or hit it straight....

UST Proforce V2 is one of the most played shafts on Tour so it can't be too bad ;).

I have the V2 SQ set up. I had the NV65 originally but I didnt like the low ball flight...no complaints here with my current set up... cost me $25.00 to get re shafted and approx $40.00 for the shaft (ebay find)

The sq will outperform any component driver you may buy?
wow talk about misinformed. This is a individual who has fallen for the OEM hype. I can guarantee i can build a driver that will perform as well or much better than any OEM club. The secret is to use the right fitting specs and Quality components. There are many cheap bad components out there but if you want quality and you will pay for quality you can have a driver built for you which will outperm anything you have ever used.

Is the next step going to be square headed drivers with composite tops? Or these extra long driver heads with composite tops. Can you imagine the HiBore XL with a COMP crown?

Depends on what shaft you want?

Simply NOT TRUE .....I'm not saying their arent good components out there such as NAKI, Alpha, Bang, SMT, and so on, but dont go make PROMISES that you can make a club that will outperform ANY OEM....You might be able to fit someone and build them that fits them better than if they went to the store and grab one off the rack, but OEM's can have custom shafts and specs as well

I dont want to get into the middle of a war, but I will say that many times I have ran into people who were OEM only golfers and borrowed someones component club that was not fitted to them and hit it better than their own. I dont think the OEMs are the only clubs with technology on their side.
