Reccomendations from long time Mizuno players -

I'm trying to find the right Mizuno clubs for me. I'm moving from Hogan Apex Plus. I currently shoot in the 80's and i need to start shooting in the 70's and get a handicap of 8 or lower.

I have been looking at the MX-25, MX-900, and MP-60's. What is the better club? What are the advantages/disadvantages?

I have seen from this chart: http://www.amazon.com/Mizuno-MX-900-...sporting-goods the MP-60's are for the lowest Hadicap followed by the 25's and then the 900. If i am trying to reach my golf of at least an 8 handicap should I just dive into the 60's? I realise I need to hit the clubs but there is no Demo day for quite some time in my area, but in the mean time someone please help me out! thanks

Do yourself a favor. Pay a pro who will not be selling you clubs to take a look at your swing and make recommendations about irons that will most likely help you reach an 8 handicap.

If there is someone out there that might somewhat know, please feel free to comment!

If you like the look and feel of a blade, then go for the blade. It will teach you to hit the ball properly (if you practice). I love blades and will never sway from them.

I have hit the MX-900, MX-25, and MX-19 irons. I was fitted by a Mizuno Certified fitter in my area and went with the MX-19. I hit them and the MX-900 exactly the same. There is no difference in the two playing wise except paying $500.00 more just so people can say the have forged irons. If you are considering the MX-900, try the MX-19. I bet you will forget all about the 900 series. With that said I do have a MX-900 3 iron in my bag, because Mizuno does not make a MX-19 3 iron.
The MX-25s were nice but not near as forgiving as the MX-19/900s, I have shot 3 rounds with my MX-19s and so far I have dropped 10 strokes compared to my old game. I love them.

You will have to try all of those and find out yourself. Thats a good baseline. I use the 60's and really like them , especially the long irons. But, Im looking to move to the 67's for a even smaller and better blade look. I like blades and will always use them ... btw, Im a 1
Try them all out , you'll find the ones you like

The MX-900's are forged. That being said, the MP-60 is the club out of the ones the original poster listed. However, I've heard that the MP-60's hit the ball a bit high. I play the 32's and recommend them highly.

I had the Hogan Apex Plus Pro's... I switched last year to the MP-60's and it was absolutely an amazing switch. I am a 6 Handicapper... and was an 8 a year earlier with the Hogan's. I have to say the clubs are like butter.

I tried the Blades and In My Honest Opinion... they were not as forgiving as the MP-60's and when you hit the ball solid... they felt the same. I absolutely love my 60's and I think you will agree when you try them.

Best of luck....
