Red face Golf shoes spike

I am a golf newbie, so please excuse my ignorance.

I bought a pair of golf shoes 3 months ago. Yesterday I found that a few spikes are already missing, so I am thinking of buying new spikes.

Now, my question is, are there different sizes of spikes or just one consistant size regardless of the manufacturer/type of shoes? I am talking about the compatibility so new spikes actually fit the shoes. If there are several sizes for the thread, how can I know which size mine is?

Thank you in advance!

Depends what make they are. Most popular threads are fast-twist and Q-fit. You should not have any problem finding them. If they are actually threaded it will be large or small thread, but hardly any shoes use those anymore. Q fit looks like a 3 triangle that you turn in, fast twist will hafe a large plastic twist of only a couple 1.5 turns.

You may be able to find the spike-spec.s on the shoe-manufacturers website..

Alternatively, I simply bring a spike from my shoes to the store when looking for a replacement, and make sure I get the right one. You will need a special tool to put them in.

Softspikes have a chart on their retail display that covers most of the shoes out there. So unless you have some off-the-wall brand, you shouldn't have any trouble finding what you need.
