Got a Sumo2 with stock reg shaft off of ebay for a REALLY good price..current set up is to whippy for me...Played a V2 Stiff on my old SQ....Thinking about reshafting it for a speeder 757 or V2 again...anyone have a exotic shaft o their squared head???
When you figure in the price of a new high dollar shaft, will you still have gotten that sumo 2 for a Really good price? If you liked the V2 in you old driver, why not get a new one for this head?
If you got a good deal on your driver then your spending at least equal that in a Speeder. On the flip side thats a shaft you can continue to use in other heads down the road. I have a UST75 that is as firm as the day it was bought and I swing hard and play-practice very often. I also have a NV65 and I think thats an excellent shaft..
I have heard good things about the adila proto vs with the square head, as well as accuflex shafts...
Nice that when you ask for advice the bulk of what you receive is advice telling you that you spent money foolishly...allow me to thank them for you...
LOL Thanks everyone....I ended up getting a V2 for under $40 shipped (ebay is the greatest) Pull out shaft non the less but i think it was worth the $$
Rod; I was going to warn you about getting a shaft off ebay, especially a pull out shaft. From what I've read on a few sites, the OEM shafts you find in most drivers, are not the exact same shaft that the shaft company sells to the after market customer. I've read that the NV shafts in an OEM driver is not a "TRUE" NV shaft, This is what a few custome club makers on this site and other sites have posted. Whether it's true or not, I can't say. One thing I can tell you is that I've got 2 drivers with OEM installed Golf Pride grips, and both of them were worn out inside of 3 weeks of practice. They both got slippery. I've never had the problem with any of the after market grips I use on my clubs. This makes me wonder if Golf Pride sells a cheaper version of their grips to the OEM's with the OEM logo on them. If that's the case, maybe the shaft companies do the same thing with shafts.
