Advice needed about driver

Howdy all, I am new here and have a problem that needs your advice.

I am a so so golfer, been playing for about 10 years but only started playing regularly for 2. Went from shooting in the 120's to low 90's in those last 2 years.

The problem I have is that I do not hit a driver well, in fact I have only ever hit 1 driver well.
At a driving range last year i was able to hit 20 some differant drivers. The Nike SQ felt perfect, hit several great shots in a row with good distance and fairly straight.

Well, for my birthday this year I decided to buy one, and by my mistake I had the high bid on 2.

1. Nike SQ 10.5 regular flex last years model.

2. Nike SQ Sumo (MOI 4950) 9.5 regular flex (Not the square head one)

The question is, Which one of these is better for me?
I have heard a lesser experianced player should hit a higher loft club. But does 1 degree make a differance? The differance in MOI is about 300. Am I even going to notice a differance?
Which would you keep if you were me?

Thanks in advance for any help

Strangely enough 1 degree of loft could make a significant difference. Do I understand correctly that you bought both and will receive both of them? In that case, go hit them to compare them, and base your decisions on that!

I did not plan on getting both, but that is the way its happening.

I would like to sell the one i will not be using to try and regain some of the cash from the mistake.

But i do see the best thing would be to hit both.
The golfsmith here may have both on display for thier indoor range.

Do you not want to hit the actual clubs, because you want to resell them as brand-new?

That would be the best situation, then i could get the money back for one of the clubs.

As a last resort, i will take them to the range and try them out, but would like to be able to have as much info before making that move.

The majority of golfers play drivers with too low of loft and suffer in the accuracy department because of it. They think that low loft equal more distance which is false. Always play the highest driver loft you can until you start to baloon the ball. As far as the clubs you purchased the old SQ is a great club with a great shaft. So if I had to choose, and I'm assuming you probably have $100 less in the old SQ, I would stick with the old one. The difference between the two will not be much and you might rather have the extra change for something else.

My .02 cents.

Ok if nobody has any other input i am going to keep the 10.5 degree SQ and sell the SQ sumo 9.5 on ebay. I did a bit a reading and seems that a higher loft club gets way more distance at my level. Maybe i should have bid higher on the lucky 13 that got away.
