hybrids

Okay, so if someone adds hybrids to their bag, does this only replace the irons or does it replace some of the fairway drivers too?

in theory, a 3 hybrid replaces a 3 iron and a 5/7 wood maybe.

something like that.

Depends on the golfer really.

I know that I can hit a 3 hybrid as far as a 5 wood and further then a 3 iron but if I put a soft swing on it then it replaces the 3 iron. So I find that my 18* hybrid will replace both the 5 wood and 3 iron.

You need to figure out what your distance is with the hybrid and then make a decision from there.

Hope this helps

I use it, depending on the course and day, as a gap filler between the 3 iron and the 4 wood. 3 iron: 205-215. 4 wood: 225-240. Hybrid: 210-225 (but high and soft). Conditions such as rain, wind, dry, ect., have major impact on which hybrid I use. I love to use my 3 iron so I most often leave the hybrids in the trunk.
