The Rifle Shafts are created to allow a greater amount of energy transfer down the shaft. The reason they are called Rifle is because the stability is put in its double layer wall and then the shaft is Rifled on the inside to promote energy transfer.

Which one would transfer the ball faster and with more force....? When you drop it down the stairs or when you drop it down a slide.....? The Slide would!!!

This is the same concept that Rifle has with the Stepless shafts.

Cool

Brian: Rifle is a brand name, not a model of shaft, so when you say they have a lower bend point, you can't really say that. Some Rifle shaft do have a lower bend point, and some have a higher bend point, and some, the Rifle Flighted, have a variable bend point as part of the design. The same goes for TT shafts. Some have low bend points and others have high bend points. You need to research the spec for all the shafts they make and fine the one with the spec that you want in you shaft.

Cool

If you ask Rifle, I'm sure they would tell you their design is best. If you ask TT, they would tell you their design is best. They both have reasons for how they build their shafts, and I have no idea who's correct, and I doubt there's much difference in terms of being the best. You also should know that Rifle went out of business, and TT purchased the patent rights to some of their product line, and is not making those shafts. Seeing as how you can find both Rifle and TT shafts being played on tour, I don't think one is better than the other. As you stated, it's a matter of finding a shaft design that best suits you.

Rifles and DG's or whatever are all good shafts for the certian golfer. I sell alot of each but I do like the Rifles better when custom fitting because of the abilitly to change the tip stiffness, launch angle and feel to fit each golfer.

Its a preference thing. I prefer TT over Rifle. But my buddy loves his rifle shafts.
