Need Your Shaft Testimonials...

I’m currently using a Callaway 454 10* driver with their stock “firm” flex shaft (in actuality it probably specs out to other after market “regular” shafts). My swing speed is right around 90-92mph, my tempo is smooth/medium, I catch the ball on the upswing and my ball position is inside of left heel. I REALLY like this driver since I hit it pretty straight but the ball trajectory is too high (but it doesn’t “balloon”). I know the shaft has a soft tip and promotes a higher ball trajectory. On average my carry is right around 235yrds but without much roll (maybe another 10-15yrds). I played last night with this guy that had a Titleist (can’t remember the model) 7.5 degree driver with a NV65 shaft. His carry was a bit shorter than mine but his roll-out was much longer. I’m wondering what to expect (distance, side spin and back spin) by going to a mid trajectory shaft? I’m not asking for an answer to my question but I’m looking for your personal experiences going from a stock or aftermarket high/mid trajectory shaft to a mid/low trajectory shaft. If you can give me the before and after shaft along with what changed to your ball flight and distance that would be great appreciated.

Thanks!

Since no one else had done this yet i will. You have to get on a launch monitor! I use to try and figure this out myself using logic but I am now a convert to the monitor. I had a titleist 905R with a NV shaft and could not hit it for anyhting. the monitor confirmed this and put me in a Titleist Speeder shaft which I would have never picked on my on. I am not hitting it 300 yards like some claim but this club feels like a entirely diifernt stick with this shaft. much straighter and about 15 yards longer. I love golf equipment and love talking about it but any other shaft discussion is futile IMO. ( Also when you find a shaft you hit well on the monitor buy that one..not one like it. every shaft is different).Good Luck!
