Which of these two shafts (Project X Rfile 6.0 or S300) plays stiffer (I.e. what is the frequency produced in both)?
Also, which do you think would be a better fit for someone like myself? I currently have a club head speed of anywhere from 110-115 MPH with the driver and and ball speed around 163-165 MPH. I hit the ball fairly high with my irons and I have no problem getting a 3 iron in the air; in fact, I can hit it with a launch angle of approximately 15 degrees around 220 yards in the air.
Definitely go with the Project X shafts. They are simply amazing. They soar into the air off the club and float the entire distance (like a Tour players iron shots) and then drop straight down. Absolutely amazing shafts. It's no wonder they are the top shaft on Tour.
Next time you watch Golf on TV.. When they zoom in on a player after his shot, look at the shaft. All the top guys are playing them... even Tiger. Thats speaks for itself.

Project X's are great shafts, but their not the number one shaft on tour. Tiger still uses his DG , and I doubt he will ever change.
I have not hit the dg's that much in my life so I can't really compare them. But after 2 weeks with project X I do love them. I have been a rifle user my entire life so I am used to that feel. I do see alot of people who make the switch from dg to project x saying how harsh they feel. I think they feel great. I really don't want that much feeling from my shaft, I want it to do it's job and not get in my way.
I went with project X over regular rifles this time A. because it was cheap, and B. I wanted to get a slighlty lower ball flight. The lower ball flight is not that much over regualr rifles , but the spin rate from the X's make them hover in the air longer, so no balooning.
With all that being said , I would still like to try those DG SL in them just to make sure nothigns better out there for me.
The reason I ask about these two shafts is because for the last 8 or so years I have played with rifle shafts in my irons (They are the R-80s that were on my Taylor Made's) and I'm not used to the ball flight of other shafts. How would my irons compare to an S300 or a Project X?
Also, if anyone could fill me in as to what kind of ball flight my old shafts were designed to produce (as I didn't know much about golf equipment at that point), that'd be very helpful.
No I don't, but I figure it to be a mid-high flight about like the regular rifles. I hit some 6.5 regular rifles and they hit near the same height as my S90's did. One thing though is that the
s90's never balooned on me, but the regular rifles did but that could of been head design also.
