Okay, I'll bite. Wilson, because they were once the best. There new woods will blow you away. I will admit that it only applies to the old forged irons though and those old forged irons are still the best out there. I am prejudice though, I bleed red and white.
Adams... If you can't find what you're looking for, you're just being unreasonable. All manners of fairway/hybrid/rescue clubs, great irons and wedges, big drivers, and good quality.
***** for me...I'm a component guy who plays dynacraft irons/SMT drivers/Ray cook putter....but I would go with either Snake eyes (golfsmith) cuz they have some of the best looking forged blades on the market (600B's are sexxxxy) and they have decent drivers available (although not a loft low enough for me)
or it would be low pro golf who makes sweet driver's (White and black lightning and the new AG400 driver which is sweeeet) and they make some nice iron sets
I'd have to go with Callaway. I've played Callaway metal woods since the original Big Bertha came out. I'm sure every manufacturer has it's selling and playability points, but Callaway gets my vote for their 5 star Customer Service. Repair, replacement, shipping, courteous service reps...you name it, Callaway has been top of the line for me.
Titleist... Probably because they make, in my opinion, the most complete line of quality equipment that can fit most any game. I love Ping irons and the concept of family owned and totally USA made that the Ping story offers. However, until they change away from that awful hosel arrangement in their woods, I'd only play the irons, wedges, and putters. I have political issues with both Taylor Made and Cleveland. Cleveland is French owned. Taylor Made clubs resale dives significantly, within days of purchase, due to their perpetuation of new products and quick discounting of "yesterday" technology. Used to enjoy Callaway, but the politics around the ERC and Arnold soured me on them. (It's terrible to get old and cranky!)
Junior, if you read the last line of my post "... old and cranky..." that probably has most to do with it. I, in no way, want to get into a political discussion/argument with anyone. This forum is not the place to do that. I simply stated the reasons that one brand, Titleist, (for me) stands out from the other top line OEM manufacturers. As the years go by, we all begin to form opinions as to a favorite make of auto, a favorite brand of laundry detergent... it's human nature. If we all liked the same products, or disliked the same products, for the identical reasons it would be a pretty plain vanilla world. Cleveland makes an excellent product. Their wedges are #1 on tour, irons are as good as you can get, and their drivers and fairways, are second to none. With the recent acquisition of Never Compromise, now they have a great putter line. One of the top OEM's out there, but I choose not to use them and that's my perogative.
