The new Pro V's

Just played them and I have to say " I DON'T LIKE THEM"

They seem harder and they don't spin as much.

I let my partner try them ,and he came up with the same conclusion.
Hope the old ones will still be available for awhile.
If it aint broke, Don't fix it.

Really? You must have super sensitive feel. I've played both and can't tell any difference. You'll be in luck for a while. Every store I go to is putting the old ones on sale.

Re: The new Pro V's

Titleist's website shows they are a little longer than the older ones for people with ball speeds in the 160's.

They're still about one of the softest feeling balls out there, though. I play the V-1x because I actually like the firmer feel a little better.

As far as distance and spin, no person posting threads on this website will be able to tell the difference of the 2 to 3 yards of driver distance or the 200 RPM's of 3/4 wedge spin. You can think they spin less, but can you tell the difference between 6350 RPM and 6150 RPM??? That might equate to 2" more roll, if that.

I found the old ones were sometimes too soft. I like the new ones better.

Re: The new Pro V's

Seeing as how the only real difference between the two is the pattern on the cover I find it funny how some say it's so much different. I bet I could put either down in front of you without you knowing which was which and you couldn't tell a difference. They both feel the same to me and I've been playing them for a few years now.

Do you mean the difference between the V-1 and the V-1x or the differences between the new and old V-1?

Re: The new Pro V's

I'm talking between the old pro-v1 and the new. I know there are differences between the v1 and the v1x that are very noticeable. The biggest overhaul between the old prov's and the new was titleist doing away with the seam like Bridgestone. It made a difference, albeit small to the ball flight but the feel is the same.

i dont know i got the opposite results, i have 112 MPH swing speed and this ball goes miles, the spin is great too, this ball may not suit people, try the v1x, maybe youll like those better

Re: The new Pro V's

erm...Sorry for my stupidity, but are new ones coming out and you lads got to demo them, or are we talking the difference between the balls with the A.I.M stamp on the sides and the ones with "PRO V1 392" on the sides?

Re: The new Pro V's

Does it really make that much difference to you!? I would be surprised if I were to lose as much as a couple of shots by moving from proV to rockflite, the real world difference going from old proV to new proV would be zero unless you are ridiculously easily distracted!
