I use them, Got a few free dozen's from Dick's when I got my clubs a few months back.
They are great balls. The Blacks are like the V1x's and the Reds like the V1's. I would say both are slightly harder then the Titleist. Both spin well for me,and I am not a great worker of the ball.
Thanks! No more ProV1x's for me. Had my longest drive of 358 with the TP/Red today. The only downside I see is they don't seem to be as durable as the ProV1x's.
Strange that the TM should wear out so fast. I play the MaxFle Rev Tour and M3 Tours. One of the main reasons I use those balls is that they last longer than I can keep them. I lose them before I wear them out. And the MaxFli balls are made by TM, so it doesn't make much sense that the TM balls would wear out real fast.
Ive tried 2 boxes of each. They are worst for scuffing. One wedge shot and their toast
I second this...I was digging ball out of my grooves all day...I will say that I was impressed with the TP red on the putting green...seems to roll very true...
"I switched because I get seven more yards off my driver with the TaylorMade TP Red and TP Black," said Goosen, who used TP Red to win the Qatar Masters. "I use TP Black when I need more spin on firm greens and TP Red when the greens are soft."
"I changed to TaylorMade TP Red because it's as long as any ball I've had success with, and it feels nice and soft around the greens," said Funk, who won the PGA Tour Mayakoba Classic and the Champions Tour Turtle Bay Championship with the TP Red ball.
