Angry Driver head size

Can the size of a driver head make a difference in your shots? When I used to have a smaller headed driver, I think it was under 400cc adams, I could hit it straight and keep it fairly accurate. Now I have the bigger Clevelnad Hi-Bore, and cannot stop slicing. My 3 wood broke in a fit of anger, but my 5 wood, I can hit a mile and it stays straight. I don't think it is anything different in my swing as the driver is the only club I cannot keep straight. Is it possible because of the head I just cannot get it through on time?

Re: Driver head size

The Hi-Bore you have may have a very different shaft than your old driver, which can cause slicing. Did you test the new drive by hitting some balls before you bought it? (you should have). You may need a different shaft. Talk to the store where you bought the Hi-Bore to see what they suggest to fix the problem. If the store will not help you, then contact Cleveland Golf for assistance.
I use a Cleveland Launcher 460cc driver with 10.5 degree loft. I tested at least 7 different driver brands, and found the Cleveland Launcher to give me the longest & straightest ball flight. I bought the driver that I actually tested at the driving range to be sure it was the driver best suited to me. I did find that with the 460cc drivers I do need to use a stronger grip to hit straight shots. You may want to try hitting some balls using a stronger grip( rotate your target side hand until you can see your 3rd knuckle when you address the ball). Then hit a few balls to see if this fixes your slice, and gives a straight ball flight.
