Question on club fitting....

Hi Im fairly new to this forum but have been reading plenty. Im looking into getting my first set of clubs. Looking into purchasing the TM R7 draw iron set. Im a 15-20 handicap. My question is, since rockbottomgolf has good prices on these. Am I able to purchase a set online from rockbottomgolf and take it into Golfsmith and have them custom fit it for me? Or would it be easier to just go to golfsmith and purchase from them? I wonder if they pricematch? Any input is great. Oh btw, great forum.

Re: Question on club fitting....

you'd be able to take your irons to golfsmith or any other clubfitter regardless of where you purchase them. i'm not 100% sure of what they charge for a club fitting, but if you call or stop by a store i'm sure they'd be more than happy to awnser any questions for you. so depending on the cost, you might not really be coming out ahead buying from a discount site.

Re: Question on club fitting....

looks like golfsmith matches the price of a competing website 115% of the identical item. Hope it includes rockbottomgolf.com oh wait that excludes taylormades. blah

Re: Question on club fitting....

What if the irons you buy are shorter than you need? How will the clubfitter overcome that?

Re: Question on club fitting....

usually standard lengths are too long for me. Im 5'5" so I would most likely need to have the clubs shortened.

If you cut the shafts, the flex will be different.
