Lie angles on different make of irons.

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this.
I'm 2 degree upright in mizuno irons.
I'm thinking about getting a new set of irons, possibly taylormades.
Just checked the specs on these and the taylormades lie angles are 2 degree more than the mizunos.
Does this mean in effect I could get purchase standard lie taylormades and be nearer enough my proper spec ? ie won't need custom fitting ? sorry if it's an obvious question.

Re: Lie angles on different make of irons.

Assuming that the 'geometry' of your current iron-set is perfect for you, and that this optimization remains unaffected when switching to a different iron brand/style, the lie angle of the taylormades would be perfect for you. However, the length might not be. Bending the mizuno's 2* upright will have raised your grip a bit, by about 0.5". If you want to copy your current 'geometry' you should to look into getting the shaft-lenghts right also.
