RAC OS irons vs Launcher LP irons

Looking to upgrade.

High handicapper, looking for game improvement irons.

I'm almost at the point where I will be buying the RAC's but a friend has a set of the Launchers which he won in a tournament and they are new in the wrapper.

Can't really demo side to side as these are older irons and hardly anyone has them in stock (seen the RACs but not the Launchers).

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: RAC OS irons vs Launcher LP irons

Alright, well this is going to be kind of useless but here goes...

I tried out both iron sets, and so did my friend...I liked the Launcher LP's and that's what I have because I thought the control was a little bit better and I hit the irons high enough. My friend bought the RAC OS' because the trajectory was a little higher and he liked the feel of those. Now, this changes for everybody, so if you are asking me what to get, I would say Launchers, but he would say RAC OS. If you are absolutely set on getting one of those two sets, I would go with whatever is priced better or even feels better at setup (can you even take a practice swing without hitting the ball or anything like that? the weight and everything may feel different)...as another option, Rockbottomgolf has last year's Adams Idea A2 iron set with 3/4 hybrids in either regular or stiff flex for $270...its a really good price for those clubs and they are really easy to hit...

both are game improvement irons, easy to hit and control...racs have a little bit of a wider sole i think, which may be easier to get airborne for you...to sum it up, they're both good sets, if you are just looking for some game improvement irons, either will do fine...this probably doesnt clear anything up except to show they are both good and neither will be a bad choice (probably)

Re: RAC OS irons vs Launcher LP irons

Thanks for the reply.

Not useless. You gotta hit em b4 anything else. Like everything else, one mans junk is anothers treasure.

I've hit the RAC's twice but unfortunatley into a net but it's kinda hard to see your ball trajectory in a net.

I will probably hit the Launchers this weekend and see how they feel.

My problem is that i've been playing for a little over 15 years (i'm 47 and in decent shape) but never consistantly enough. I'm playing with 15 plus year old irons so I know my game will improve with the newer irons.

I know it's the indian not the arrow but in this case, this indian would benefit from some new arrows.

I need to get on a launch monitor and get fitted as well to truley get the most of what I eventually buy.

Thanks for the feedback.
