so i was thinking about getting a titleist 690mb, but my friend said that i should try and look at all the other forged irons before going for the 690mb. so i was wondering what other forged irons would you guys recommend?? also what is the difference between mb and cb?? i know mb means muscle-back and cb means cavity-back, but what is the difference in performance? i saw 690cb's for cheaper than mb. thanks
755's are forged stainless and the most forgiving set of the ones you've mentioned so far.
Nike Blades and MP37's are just about 100% identical. My bud who owns a pro shop (pretty credible source) told me that Nike contracted Mizuno to make their first forged blades when Nike Golf was getting onto its feet.
I don't know what you are looking for in terms of ball flight or forgiveness, so it's hard to recommend a particular set.
I'd highly recommend the Srixon I-506, i just picked up a pair, they look amazing, feel good off the club, and the long irons are so easy to hit, i can even hit the 3 iron, plus there fairly cheap on ebay, i got mine for $380 brand new.
I've got 735.CMs and I wouldn't give them up for anything. I tried 8 different sets of blades (and musclebacks) before settling on them. They were superior in feel to anything else I hit, and the ball flight was exactly what I was looking for.

If you notice a majority of the tour players play with a forged blade>>WHY? because the mb and cb give the players "distance control" and "workability". Whether one feels better than the other, I am not sure. Most manufacturers may make the longer irons cavity back and shorter irons muscle back.
