Taylormade Tour Burners

As some of you know, I was in the market of buying some new irons. I had it down to the Ping G10's and the Taylormade Tour Burner. A lot of you guys were saying go with the G10's because they are very forgiving. I was really torn. Do I go for the club that majority are saying go with, or do I go with the better $ deal. Well, I went with the deal.

I ended up with the Taylormade Tour Burners, I am not qualified to write a review on them, because I am newer to golf then most on here, but these clubs are GREAT! I am hitting my irons solid and accurate. They are forgiving and are workable, I can't say enough about these clubs. Not only am I hitting better with them but my game has improved with these clubs and I feel a lot more comfortable playing now.

Now all I need help with is my putting game, can i please 1 or 2 putt and stop with the 3 putting. :) I also have a new putter, so I am still trying to get used to it, only complaint about my putter is that I dont have a feel for it yet and the grip is mushy (?). I think it will take time to get used to. I will be ok. I am hoping to improve in all areas and I think I now have the tools to do so.

Good luck out there.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to say, I have lowered my score by approx 10. I am still a high handicap player but I am going in the right direction. I think I can shave another 10-15 shots off of my rounds to get me in the high 80's - low/mid 90's. If I can do that, personally, I will be happy.

That's great, I'm glad to hear you like your clubs. Those irons looked and felt good to me too!

Yes, they do feel good. So did the Ping's, but it really came down to price. I was able to get the Taylormade clubs new for $524.99 (no tax, online purchase), or the Ping clubs for $699.99 plus tax. I really liked the Pings, but cost wise I was unable to pass the Taylormade irons up since they both felt great for me.

I will keep everyone posted with my score and such. My best score to date is a 109. I know, bad, but again, I have only been playing about 2 years and that has been on and off. I finally got lessons and I am working on my short game a lot. Like I said, I can shave off some hits I should easily be in the 90's. We will see where I go from there.
