How to ID midsize grip?

Pardon for this stupid question... but I'm speculating that my golf shop installed wrong grip size on my driver- midsize rather than standard. Before I make a trip to them which is a bit far from me, how do I identify whether the grip is standard or mid size? The shop told me on the phone that any midsize grip has "midsize" text on it but I'm not sure if it's believable. BTW the grip they put on says Global Tour Golf. I've never heard of this brand.

Every Mid-Sized grip (which is what I use) I have ever seen has always had midsize wrote on the crown.

Thanks for the answer. So the shop was right. Then the larger grip size is likely caused by shaft. This is a shaft from a friend so I didn't know this could happen.

Re: How to ID midsize grip?

Clubfitters have a tool that measures grip diameter...can be a piece of sheet metal or plastic with half circle cut outs of increasing size that they fit over the grip to determine the diameter and sizing...grips can be built up with underwrap tape, on purpose or unknowingly (although I doubt that this happens often) and cannot always be identified in size by what is written on them...you need to identify the size that you prefer through a little trial and error, then make sure all your grips match (although I put three wraps under my wedge grips to inhibit hand action vs the two wraps on my irons, but just personal preference)...
