Callaway X20 vs New TaylorMade Tour Burner Irons

Has anyone tried both sets of clubs? If so I would be interested on your comparison and thoughts. I have narrowed down my next set to these two. I have been told that the new Callaway X22 will be coming in March/April 2009, but I know I wont be able to wait that long. I hav also been told to go with the TM's because they just came out this year and will be the latest technology for about 2 more years whereas the X20's are on their way out.

Thanks

Keith

sometimes the "latest technology" ends up being purely cosmetic, which for a gear freak is ok. I like shiny new things! lol I am however partial to the burners. I really think they are nice clubs (to use)

Re: Callaway X20 vs New TaylorMade Tour Burner Irons

The only difference between the X18 and the X20 irons is a slightly lower center of gravity on the X20s, which lends to a higher ball flight. I have no problem getting the ball up in the air so the X18s would actually play a little longer for me than the X20s, but the difference is absolutely negligible. Unless they do something to actually change the shaft on the X20s, you'd be pretty gullable to wait to pay an extra $400 for the "new technology" in the X22s. Keep in mind that golf clubs are not computers and you can save yourself a ton of money
