Getting Older and getting Shorter

Just wondering, since my age is going up and so is my Golf score and I cannot hit my driver as long as I want.
I know my swing speed is lower so Is there a a solution to my dilemma with other styles of driver.

I hit my seven wood pretty well and my 4 as well, that being said , are there smaller headed drivers out there that may suit someone like me better.

Sometimes I feel that I'm swinging a stick with a pie plate on the end .
I'm playing a Titliest 905R and a G-5

I was wondering if there were 325 - 350 drivers out there that could be recommended to me.

Playing pretty bad right now so I think I'm panicking.

A question first.... How old is "older"? Hard to say if it's your age, your swing, or your driver without more info.

I'm 61 and I am not as long as I once was, but I'm not that much shorter either, considering that the equipment is more helpful than it once was. I used to play Titleist Tour Balata 100's with an early TaylorMade 8.5° Tour Driver with a 43" TT DG shaft (I still have the old driver and I still use it occasionally... but it isn't as long as my Mizuno by 15 yards). My Mizuno with a 2 piece Callawy Warbird still gets me about 240-250 yards on average, with that occasional bomb to 280+, usually aided by friendly environmental factors.

BTW, my handicap is only one stroke higher than it was 15 years ago. It's actually gone down by 5 strokes in the 1-1/2 years since I retired. There's something to be said for playing as often as I want to.

Wouldn't a bigger driver give you more yardage, especially with a slower swing speed? I can hit my Titleist 975d as far as my newer driver, but it has to be hit perfectly.

Re: Getting Older and getting Shorter

I purchased a Teeter Hangup inversion table and I feel 2 inches taller. I'm going to be 69 in Oct and I'm hitting the ball farther than when I was 35. Of course there are a couple of Yoga classes thrown in there a couple of times a week and I work out lightly with weights. Whirlpools and stretching will get you hitting the ball like a yoing man. Seeing a chiropractor when you are hurting helps too.
If you talk about getting older then you will get older
