Cheap but Good golf balls

I'm looking for some cheap $20-$30 max golf balls that will give me good distance but will also check on the green as well.
I currently play the Callaway HX Hot Plus. Does anyone know if the Bridgestone E5+ is a good ball?

It's a great ball (the E5 +) but there is better for the money. I'd go with the Callaway HX Hot Bite. Great ball for the price of and E5

I tried the callaway HX Hot Bite and i lost a couple yards on my drive...
Wouldnt the e5 be better on the green because of its Urethane cover?

I haven't had much luck with the E seires of balls for spin. I just can't spin them like I do other similar balls. Great ball, but not for me.

many internet sites sell slightly used tour quality balls for a fraction off the price.

Re: Cheap but Good golf balls

I've played a variety of balls the past two years. E5, E6, Pro V1, etc. I know this is no help but I'm still stuck on the Pro V1.
I used to play the "original" Noodle by Maxfli which had a very good feel, great distance and moderate spin. Then it was the original "Laddie" by Precept which felt even better than the Noodle. When the manufacturers redesigned these two balls I quit using them. It seems that when a ball company comes out with a great low-mid priced ball that performs and sells extremely well they eventually make it a "hard" distance ball, hence the "New Noodle" and the "Laddie Extreme". The only reason I can come up with for this is that the ball is too good and starts to hurt their high dollar tour ball sales.
