It seems like someone out at my course had a set at one time... He seemed to like them great. I've never hit one before, but they look like great clubs.

One of the guys in out foursome hits them (8 handicap) and for all I know he will hit them till the groves wear out or he does. I personally have not hit them.

I have used those irons for years. They are very forgiving. Other than a few cosmetic scratches on mine they work as well as they did 10 years ago.

Re: King Cobra oversize irons?

I have used those Irons since 1994. I absolutely can't quit using them. I have tried Mizuno MP60. I tried Cleveland CG14. I tried Cleveland Lauchers. None of these were able to compete with my old Cobras. I do have a set of Cobra 3100IH and Cobra FP(2007) that I am TRYING to get used to. One thing to keep in mind, that set of Cobra were advertised as the "Longest" Irons available at that time, the reason was the lofts are a little stronger than conventional. In order 789P they are 33,35,39,43. The conventional sets today are 33,37,41,45. That's the reason I am having a hard time changing, I get about 6-10 yards more with my old 8,9,P. They are a great club, kind of a cross between game improvement and professional. You should be happy with them.
