Hey guys, I just recently received some old school Wilson Pro Staff Radius Sole Irons from my Uncle as a gift. I haven't hit a club this pure in my entire life, and even if they are old, like Ryan Moore said, "Its hard to switch clubs, no matter how old they are, if you can hit them." I like them so much, as of right now they have replaced my Callaway FT Irons. I have now hopped on the Pro Staff band wagon . Anyways, lets get to the point. The grips that are on them are worn down and consistently slip even with my glove. So, I really like the fell of the DD2 grips, but I was just wanting to know if they are good, long lasting, and trusty grips. If you have/had DD2 grips, please let me here the ups or the downs!
O.P., the ones in my link feel no different from the DD2's. I have a box of them waiting for some clubs and have used them on several occasions. I really think people are missing out too by not checking into the KARMA grips. By far the best grip for the money. I'm building some Alpha PF2 wedges and gonna use the red, white and blue multi Karmas and @ $1.89 can't be beat! I chuckle when I see folks paying 7-8 bucks a grip for Multi's. Even the Sharpro grips are as good if not better than the GP's and actually held the original Pat. before selling it to GP I believe or something like that.
Angel. Check out Hireko for grips. They have my all time favorite grip on sale for $1.10 each, It's the Royal Quarter Cord. I v'e got them on all my irons and wedges and plan to install them on my woods next. They last for years, and provide excellent hold on the clubs with only the lightest grip pressure. And the cord in only where the fingers of your top hand touch, so they don't wear out your glove like half cord grips can. At $1.10 you can't beat the price for a really good grip.
So I'm a liar? Lol, anway I've just had bad experiences with them and so have my friends. My buddy had one on this PW just trying out different grips and it also wore down very quickly. Don't toothbrush them, just wipe them down....
