I bought a (yet another) "bag of old clubs" of ebay for £5, it came with some 80s metal drivers and fairway irons but in with them were these three. Golden Ram 5 and 1 wood and a Benny putter. The 5 is in good shape but the 1 has seen better days. I have searached the net and can't find out about these woods, I presume they are Persimmon? Are they 80s, 90s or earlier? worth restoring the 1?. I'm happy now as I have a 1, 3 and 5 in Persimmon to go in my "retro" bag with my 1974 MacGregor Tourneys (although i need a suitable retro bag for them to go in...). PS anyone know anything about benny putters?

Hard to say if the clubs are worth restoring. Depends on what you want to do with them. I purchased a full set of Persimmon woods when I started playing golf 7 years agol Got a driver , 3W 4W, 5W and a 6W. All for $1.50 each at GoodWill store. I re-finished the wooden heads, and re-gripped them all. They were fine to learn the game, but not much compared to newer modern metal woods of today.
