Re: Differences

Yes , if your asking a 2h verses a 3h, you should be able to hit the 2 further.

Re: Differences

It is the same differences as between a 2 iron, a 3 iron, and a 4 iron. The lower the number, the longer the shaft will be and the lower the loft will be. If you are able to make equivalent swings, the 2h should go at least a little farther that the others (how much farther really depends on your swing speed and technique.)

The number on the hybrid is meant to be close to the number iron in your set it is supposed to replace. However, I think that you should be aware that what one manufacturer calls a "4" is what another manufacturer would call a "3". That is, one manufacturer's 4 hybrid would have 21 degrees of loft, but another manufacturer may call their hybrid with 21 degrees a 3 hybrid. So, it is best to know what loft of irons you are trying to replace and what the loft of the hybrids you are looking at are, instead of just going by the numbers. The lofts of the clubs should be available on any manufacturer's webpage.

Re: Differences

In theory, a 2h will go farther than a 3h, but ONLY if you are a good ball striker and hit both clubs with equally solid ball contact. If you are like most golfers, you may not hit the 2h as well as you hit the 3h or 4h, so you may in fact hit the 2h shorter than the 3h or 4h. Best thing you YOU to do is DEMO a bunch and see what works for YOU.
