Re: New Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid Iron 4H RH Stiff
First, WELCOME to the site.
As for the 4H hybrid. there is no way anyone here can tell you how far you might hit that club. Every golfer is different and they hit their club different distances. In theory, you should hit it the same distance as you hit your 4 iron. Since the 4 hybrid is designed to replace a 4 iron, that only makes sense. Best thing to do would be to DEMO one and find out. Good luck with your demo time.
Re: New Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid Iron 4H RH Stiff
I understand that no one can tell me how far I can hit the iron, I was just wondering what there average was. I might have asked the questions in the wrong way. Thanks for the info though
Re: New Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid Iron 4H RH Stiff
The reason no one can give you an answer is all golfers are different. Let me give you an example. I just got an email from TaylorMade about their Burner irons. They did a test against about 10 other irons, and they claim their Burner iron is the longest of the bunch. Seem the others average distance with a 6 iron was 165 yards carry. The Burner hit the ball 175, or 10 yards longer with the 6 iron. And now here's my reason for not being able to give you a figure for that 4 hybrid. While in this test the average distance for a 6 iron was 165, and the Burner was 175. MY 6 iron carry is 195 yards. That's 30 yards over the average according to this test by TaylorMade. I hope this helps explain why I can't really tell you much about 4 hybrid distances. Sorry, but that's the way it is with golf clubs.
Re: New Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid Iron 4H RH Stiff
I do own a Callaway X 2008 Hybrid and it is great. I hit the same distance as a regular but higher and with more consistency. I would have to think the New Diablo is very good. See if you can Demo one.
Re: New Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid Iron 4H RH Stiff
I've never tried a Callaway hybrid, but I hit my Dunlop 4 hybrid more consistently than the 4 iron I used to play. If you hit your long irons well, you won't get as much benefit from a hybrid as someone who hits long irons poorly.
