Are you talking about the generic ones that are knock offs of the Odyssey 2 Ball putter or putters like the Never Compromise Voodoo or the Taylor Made Rossa Monza?
i've seen one made by orbiter..
they're decent.. but i only tried putting couple of times..
they might be better or worse than the original in the long run
I had an old set of knockoff TaylorMade Burner Bubble Irons. I remember one time I was playing a par 3. Took out my 9 iron. Hit the shot. Landed on the fringe. My partner said "Good shot." I started cursing. Apparently, he didn't see the clubhead snap off the shaft and land in the water in front of the green. It was the 4th hole, so I was without a 9 iron the whole day. I took it back to the place and they reshafted it and put on a new clubhead, but I never trust knockoff clubs. I recently bought real TM Rac OS irons. Amazing difference.
I got one of the first clones of the two ball putter out. It specs are exactly as the original 2 ball putter. in fact it was so good they made the guy take it off the market. so all clones are not cheap imitations of an original, and I do not usually endorse clones but this putter was to good to be true.
I'd putt with a cloned broom handle if helped me make more putts. Yes, the major manufacturer's products are of higher quality and you're more apt to receive great customer service if you have a problem, but the bottom line is.....do you make more putts with that $200.00 beauty or the beat up $5.00 garage sale special?
If my wife weren't napping, I'd go check my bag and find out what the name of the company was that made my 2 ball copies. I bought two of the heads and had a standard and a belly putter made for much less than I would have paid for the original. Oh, and I started making more putts. Diffrn't strkoes and whatnot...
I was thinking about picking up a two-ball clone, the wife would kill me if i spent $350 on a putter.
Also, i can understand cheap drivers and irons breaking, but how would you possibly break a putter?
