Taylor Made 540 Driver

I just purchased a barely used TM 540 driver and finally noticed that there is no "r" on the sole of the club. I have been looking at other r540's on the internet as well as in a few golf shops and can't find any other clubs without the "r" on the sole. Is this a legitimate TM club?

Thanks!!!

Just bought a Taylor driver last week myself. R580XD. There is a r on the sole of my club. Maybe go to there web site and I am sure there is a picture of your particular brand. Heres to hoping you have not bought a knock off.

korber1,

First thing I would do is contact Taylor Made and ask about the R on the club just to double check to see if they made some without the R. Secondly, where did you buy the club from? Off of e-bay or from a store?

Thanks!! I have sent an email to Taylor Made inquiring about this. I did actually purchase this from a seller on e-bay and have sent him an email as well. So we'll see.
