Are you referring to the Wilson Staff True Tour Elite? If so - I've played this ball most of last year, and I really like it. Long, flies very straight, feels good off the irons, and gives me "drop-and-stop" performance.

Around the green, it's a little crisp, but OK. This ball is GOOD, but not spectacular in any way. A good all-around deal, IMO.

Good, but not Great. They don't run across the green like some distance balls, but they don't check like a ProV1 either!

The True Tour Elite's spin just as well as the ProV1 for me. That is why I switched, they were half the price. Now if you are asking about the new Tx4, the Wilson rep just left me a free dozen of those, and a dozen of the Px3's. I'll post a review when I get a chance to play them.

Well... it's been over a year... where's your post?

Really... I've used the Px3's and really like them, except that they don't check up on shortish pitches and chips like my Black Max or HX Tours. Very stable in the air and decently long. Was wondering if the Tx4's are worth a switch and how they compared to the Black Max and HX Tour.

Thanks

I forgot all about this, so I'm busted. I found the Px3 and the Tx4 a bit better then the Tru-Tour Elite in stopping around the green, distance was about the same. To be honest, I can't decide between the two which I will start using after my supply of Elites runs out.

I loved the True Tour and True Tour Elite, but did not like the Tx4. I wish they had kept making the Elite. If there is a Wilson Rep on here, you guys messed up.

I am buying the Elites where ever I can find them.

Could you elaborate on why you didn't like the Tx4's? Thanks.

Also... how does the True Tour Elite compare to the iWound?

Didn't care for the dimple pattern, and the paint is not as durable. I didn't notice an improvement in the performance.

The True Tour Elite rolls great on the green, has a traditional look to the dimple pattern, and is a pretty fine combination of feel, length, spin, etc.

I think I actually liked the Smartcore Pro Distance better than their new offering.
