Just reshafted my Ignite with the NV. My Blue snapped off at the head and I wanted to try a different shaft rather than fix it. I've only played 9 holes with it but I'll offer my opinion. I can't really tell much difference between the NV and the Blue. Same mid/low ballflight, about the same distance, maybe a little longer. I can control it a little better since I moved up to a stiff flex. The regular Blue was getting a little whippy with my increasing swing speed. Now I can swing out of my shoes without having to worry about hooking the **** out of the ball. I couldn't really rate it anything lower than 5 stars, seeing as today I hit 6 out of 7 fairways averaging about 290ish. Also hit my longest drive to date, 336 yards(walked off measurement) slightly uphill but downwind.
Recently started using a new driver "Adams Dual" 10.5 with the NV 65 Stiff. I have tried two other drivers over the last 2 years with 9.5 to 10.5 degree heads but both with low kick point shafts. I struggled not to balloon my drives. I have played 2 rounds with the NV and have found it to dramatically change my ball flight, lowering it and returning the distance that I lost. I highly recommend this shaft for people who struggle with ballooning the ball.
I recently acquired an Orlimar HipTi 420 with an Aldila NV 55 in it and have to say that this combination really rocks! It is capable of handling a very smooth swing as well as if I get too anxious and want to swing hard with it...can't believe how this shaft performs at the given weight...very stable -- EAGLE.
I have a real problem with this shaft, i got my mizuno mp001 3 wood 15* with it nv 65s , the ball flight is good and penetrative but i cant control this **** thin i hook it left all the time i have a speeder 757 in my r7 quad tp and i love it good flight slight draw (my natural shape) i think the problem with the nv 65 was because it was too light , i considered reshafting with an nv 75 but i have no confidence in the shaft, so i reshafted it with a fuji pro vista 80, lovely weight a lot heavier more control and my natural shape is back this shaft is real quality, i wanted to like the nv it looks beautiful just didnt perform for me

I've had good luck with the NV in Drivers, Cleveland comp....Titleist 905 but didn't like the shaft in fairway woods. Also same experience with the r7 tp with the speeder. It's the most controllable combination I've ever had...good stuff for swing speeds above 105mph.
I hit this shaft in a number of drivers when I got fitted. I don't think it performed well for me at all. I used the NV 65-S model. I found it not stiff enough and seemed to prefer a heavier shaft. The 75-S might have been better for me. I ended up with a Speeder 757.
I have cobra sz 440 with NV 55 R flex midkick. I am not sure if my improved control is due to shaft or head but I love this club. Even though I have fast swing speed (~ 105 mph) regular flex is just right for me.
I just picked up a 16* G5 hybrid with the NV 85 stiff hybrid shaft and I also play a Sonartech NP-99 with a NV 75 stiff. Both these sticks are long, straight and have perfect trajectory for me. The G5 fills the gap between my 3 iron and my strong 3 wood perfectly for me. In both cases the NV shaft was what came installed in each club. The interesting thing is I have a 8.5* G2 and a 9* Cally 454 both with the NV 65 stiff shaft and I don't hit either of them nearly as far, as consistent or as straight as I do my FT-3 with 757 shaft. Because of this, I didn't think this shaft would work for me at all. Glad I kept an open mind because I have found two clubs that work very well for me with this shaft configuration.

I have the NV 65 in my TM R5 and it certainly has helped keep my ball flight a little lower. It has a tendency to balloon. Also, dispersion has been tighter.
Just got off the launch monitor with this shaft NV65-S- in a 9.5*Malty Logic 380 head,D-4 Swingweight,46"club length,Freq.248.Here are the numbers from averaging 10 shots with Callaway HX Tour balls.
Ballspeed-163
Launch angle-14.5
Backspin-3,816
Carry-260yds
Swingspeed-111
I do not really care for this shaft in a driver.I seem to get a lot of backspin with it and was very inconsistent. The numbers were actually very inconsistent for me.Then again it could just be me.The best shot of the test was the last one.
Ballspeed-172
Launch-10.6
Backspin-2173
Carry-289
Swingspeed-120
I just really do not care for this shaft.I am having the same head put on an Accuflex Evolution Shaft and will post the results later.
I also just stepped off of the launch monitor with my trusty TaylorMade R510TP with Fuji 757 stiff and a Cleveland Launcher Comp with the Aldila NV 65-S. The results were quite shocking! FWIW, my handicap is around a 1. I hit the 510TP better than any other driver I've hit to date. After this launch monitor session the TP will be collecting dust for a loooong time I'm afraid. With the TP, my carry distance was 255 yards and the clubhead speed was 105 +/-. With the Launcher/NV65-S combination my clubhead speed jumped up to 120 +/- and the carry distance is over 280. As a matter of fact, the very first ball that I hit with the Launcher/NV65-S carried 310 yards.
I thought this was a fluke so I teed up 8 more balls and they were all over 280 yards up to 305 yards. I wasn'tswinging out of my shoes either. This is what scared me! Same swing with the TP resulted in a 255 yard carry while the Launcher/NV65-S was over 280. I never thought I'd find a driver that was better than the 510TP/Fuji 757 combo but it looks like I did. While I can't comment on the rest of the NV series shafts I can certainly attest to the NV 65-S as being a solid shaft with a 5 out of 5 stars rating
