Happened upon on this shaft by accident when I got a good deal on a Mizuno 5-Wood from Ebay and love it. For my particular swing and speed it works well. High ball flight with a slight draw almost everytime with good distance. I typically slice all of my fairway woods so this has been a nice change.
I have this shaft installed in my BB 2004 3 wood and it is an awesome combination. A nice high ball flight and it has increased my distance by 20 yards over the stock Callaway steel.
I have an NVS regular flex in my MP-001 460 driver. Only hit a few times but the difference is obvious. Much more length, probably due to the slightly higher ball flight and the increase in clubhead speed. Perfect for my swing, but don't try to load it up top, way too flexible. Needs a gradually increasing load on the downswing. Birdie since I haven't tried everything out there yet.
Just got my 7 wood back with the 75g stiff NVS installed and it's a nice change. I should have went a little heavier but that is my only regret. I get a nice high ball flight every swing. I have only played one round with it and I don't know how it will hold up so I gave it a birdie.
how does the flex on the nvs hold up with other shafts? i heard aldila shafts generally play stiffer than most with the "R" flex being between 90-100 and the S between 100-110. i usually play stiff shafts in my other clubs with a SS of around 98 mph. getting the callaway fusion ft hybrid with the nvs but not sure between the R and S. have any of you been in this situation?
The Titleist Tour Van came to our club last season. I decided to go through the fitting process. It was a great experience. Long story short, they measured my swing speed at 112mph and put me in the Aldila NVS shaft, stiff flex, 44" length with a Titleist 905 head. The control I've gained from this combination is terrific. I've been playing golf for 37 years and this is the best driver set-up I've owned.

I have the stiff in my R5. I have a long swing and don't load the shaft too much and I really like this shaft. I can only compare it to the stiff Fujikura Tour 60 that I had previously. It is quite a bit softer and more responsive than that one. I'm enjoying the combination of shaft and R5 neutral head. It is long and really straight. I've also found that if I give it a little extra with my right hand through the hitting area I can get a nice little bit of extra height and distance without losing to much control. Fun.
I picked up an Adams 430Q 10.5 with a NVS 75 Stiff shaft on Ebay for <$100.
Took it to the range yesterday and hit one bomb after another over the 250 yard sign on the fly. Dead straight to a slight fade. It immediately went into my bag and the 460d with NV 65 stiff is out.
I have tried this shaft in a few different clubs. Last year I was using the NVS 65s in my Cleveland 460 and don't think I ever drove the ball better. I am now using the same shaft in my FT-3 and feel that I have to work harder with it. I also have the same shaft in my FT Hybrid and Fusion 3 wood and it's the same thing. I am starting to think I should have gotten a regular flex shaft for those clubs. I have also tried it in the HiBore and it was long and high.
well as of right now i personally dont like the shaft. way to much bend for a stiff shaft. going to give it a couple more chances if still not liking they will be going up for sale and stock reaxs are going back on. So pm if you might be intrested in buying the shafts.
