I have it in my Rapture and liked it from hitting it on the simulator. Now that I've played it outdoors, I changed my mind. I'm having a really hard time turning the ball over with it after 10 years of playing mostly slight draws off the tee. It's really got me mind boggled. I'm right in the middle of the swing speed rating so I can't figure out the problem. When I demo'ed the Rapture with the stock PING shaft, I drew the ball like a champ.
The problem isn't present in any other club, so I'm convinced it has something to do with the shaft flex, torque.
A close friend has it in the Sumo Sq and he's got the exact same problem. He plays a S flex and swings about 100 MPH and I play the X flex and swing 115 MPH on average.

Reason: Addition
Were you playing a stiff shaft before? Your inability to draw the ball may be caused by a switch to a stiffer shaft; you were might have been drawing the ball before because the shaft was slightly too soft and you may be unable to draw the ball now because the shaft is a perfect fit or slightly too stiff.
Throughout the past 10 years or so, I've played X or stronger profile S flex shafts in my driver. I've always played X100 in my steel shafted clubs and never encountered this problem with them.
It's not that I can't draw the ball at all, it's just gone from my bread and butter to a low percentage shot. I hate it.
By the numbers, the VS Proto X fits me right in the middle of the RSSR.
Anyhow, I've made a switch to a softer X with 0.7 degrees more torque. We'll see what happens.

I had the same problem...I play a proforce v2 stiff with a 905r head...demoed the 907d2 with the proto shaft and could not turn it over...hit the same head with the shaft I have been playing and was back to drawing the ball...it doesn't seem to be a torque issue as there isn't much lower torque than the v2 unless you're playing steel...
I tested it out on a Callaway FT-5 9.5 tour (stiff 80 grams) and gained 30 yards over my Aldila NVS (stiff 65 grams) on my current Callaway FT-3. Sweet shaft! Preffered it over the Mitsubishi Diamana blue board (way too high of a ball flight)
I went from the green reg nv that I was fading to the proto by you 65 stiff in a ping rapture and turned my fade into a straight down the middle my ss is in the low 90 s thats in 40 degree temp.I think when it gets warmer it will start to draw for me ,if not Ill take the straight and longer shot and go with it :) I like mine!

Have to point out that the 65gr version is a shaft made for OEMs rather than what you would buy aftermarket...have heard that the two play differently, but not so much as the difference between the diamana shaft in the SQ line vs the aftermarket version...
I bought a TM Superquad that had the By-you 65s already installed so I figured I would give it a couple months to rate it verse hit it bad and pull it. I load my swing pretty hard and was playing a UST PF 75 X in my previous driver. This shaft seems extremely whippy and loose for my type of swing. If I swing about 75% It works excellent but Im not wired to swing this way. I would rate this good for a player that really has a tempo swing if your getting after it stay away..

Again...the OEM shaft and a slightly different animal...
