Worst tip you have ever gotten?

When I started out, I was always told to swing easy, slow it down....no matter what I did "slow down." I realize that sometimes you do need to slow down, but not when you are already swinging at 50mph!

How about you?

LOL...oh boy, do people realize that beginners have no idea what "toe up", "release", "drive through", "choke down" and a whole bunch of other terms are?

But the worse for me definately was "swing DOWN on the ball".
Do you realize what is pictured by a bigginer? Literally, I was trying to bury the sucker!

My favorite (until finally I've changed this) had always been: "Hey, why are you holding it like that? You're gonna break your wrist like that".....

The 2 worst pieces of golf advice have to be "let your arms hang down at address" and "the big muscles supply the power to the swing".

The worst tip I've ever gotten is actually the same as the best tip I've gotten.

I was told to quit hitting on the beverage cart girls.

I don't really like the one 'keep your head down' or 'you lifted up too early on that one' or even 'keep your feet still'...... I've been told those ones a couple of times when I first started, good thing I don't really listen to beginners tips that much, I just take tips from pros.

I'm pretty sure I was once told that an open club face will help stop a slice. As if I didn't already have a wicked slice as it was...
