Practice Highs & Lows.

Last week i was working on a few things with my irons all of a sudden it clicked , my 5 iron was piercing through the sky and landing just short of the 200yd marked i felt like i could hit the ball as hard as i could and it would come off the middle of the club.Well i've been down the range twice since then well,,,, the club feels like a lefthanded club in my hand and i'm swinging like my 18 month old son .What do i do .

I've experienced that feeling also ... but, to be honest, it was probably due to hitting a whole bunch of shots with the same club. In other words - grooving. Since the game isn't played that way, I no longer hit too many shots with the same club ... at least, all at once. If I'm having difficulty with a particular club, I'll hit it until things come around and try to mentally 'file' the feeling, if that makes any sense.

I have really noticed this recently. I got new clubs and am having a heck of a time getting used to them. However, I think my biggest problem is more mental. I think I had such high expectations that I put too much pressure on myself to perform. I just need to go out and swing the way I know how.
