Cool Seeing Improvement

I went and bought some practice balls to use in the backyard with my home made inside approach. I hit about 50 balls a day for 3 days working on what you guys suggested in my earlier post. Went to the range today and busted the first 3 wood down the middle with a 10 yard fade. Keep in mind my earlier slice was so bad I couldn't keep it on the range. I hit about 35 balls and only sliced about 5. I even hit 3 or 4 draws!! I am so pumped. All I have to do now is work on my alignment staying down the middle and not left.

I hate to be an infomercial but that inside approach really helps. It won't fix your slice in 6 swings like the commercial says. But it does simplify the swing, all I have to think about now is squaring the clubhead. I found I do this better when I start my hands down before my hips rotate. Any other tips or swing keys that help to square the club face (besides a stronger grip)?

Congratulations on your early success. You can put a ball between two tees, kind of like gates posts and hit shots that way...let me know if you can't visualize this, I'll try and finda visual for you that shows this.

Found something, not a visual, but a Pro's tip:

"...you need to work on your club-face position at impact and your swing path. These are critical areas in creating the flight of your shot. Take swings in slo-motion and stop at impact. The club-face should should be square (the bottom edge of the iron is perpendicular to the ground). Try to swing between two tees. Put a tee 1/2'' away from each side of the club-face. This helps you swing toward the target. Hitting straight shots will help your mental attitude." - John Pallot, Teaching Professional
