New cleats. How should I treat them?

Well I just bought a pair of Adidas Tech Feather golf cleats. These are my first pair of soft spikes and I don't know much about them. Is there anything I should stay away from? Should I not walk on pavement or concreate or any hard, rough surface? How often should I change the spikes? Is there anything else I should know about to keep this in working order for a while?

Just make sure you clean them good after each round. Dirt and grass will sometimes build up under the base of the cleat and you will have a very difficult time changing them when needed. Thats about all, I change mine every 4-6 months, but I switch between 3 different pair of shoes also.

They wil look pretty worn, compared to a new one, or you might experience a little slippage from your back foot. That is when I know it's time.

Take an old cleat/spike with you when you purchase replacements, since diferent brands use different size threads (plastic vs metal threads), or no threads at all (called Q-lock).
