Went to the driving range....

yesterday as I had been having considerable problems with my driver recently. I think I figured out the problem, I was teeing the ball way too high! I had always teed the ball high but since I switched to a larger headed driver I was teeing it even higher. I lowered the tee height to where the top of the club head bisects the ball and the results were excellent. I was hitting the ball solidly and the trajectory and distance were very good! Simple fix.

Good to hear, I never could get used to the fact of tee the ball up higher than halfway over the topline of the driver. I tried it for a month and just got worse and worse. When I went back to it, I found I was hitting the ball farther, straighter, and with more consistency than when I tee'd the ball up higher. Guess it's all in personal tastes, but it's amazing what 1/4" will do to you in this crazy game!

I can't tee up high for some reason. Even with 460cc's I have to tee it up fairly low to make good contact and get decent distance. *shrug*

i tee it high for my 400 cc but it is recommended to align ball at left toes as opposed to heel, this means the driver makes contact on the upswing,i,m hitting it high but far for me and this height helps to ease slice, each to his own,i used to tee high and then went low but back to high again

Whenever I have it too far in the front of my stance I hit the ball WAYYY left.

I tee my ball so only the top 1/4 is sticking up over the top of the driver head.
