I bought one a couple of years ago and it really helped to smooth out tempo and create a more fluid swing...dropped from a 25 to a 17 hdcp...I got the momentus a few months ago, and this is even better; really helps me with tempo...down to a 13 now...

The problemn I see with the medicus, is that if you swing it smoothly on the correct plain, with a fast tempo it will hinge. My personal swing is based on who I am. Could I conform to a model for which the medicus was built??? Sure, but when the chips are down, my natural tendancy will prevail.

I really like the Momentus, for strengthening, rhythm, and muscle memory. I suggest it to students. You can swing it 20-30 times at night in your living room (if ceiling height permits). Just reminds the body what you want it to do when you don't get the op to get to a golf course.

I agree, however it's good for beginners. My wife got one, and it really helps her understand the correct swing plane and hand position throughout the swing. Once you have the fundimentals down, you can begin to increase swing speed.

Also, is it me, or is the Medicus designed for a 2 plane swing?

I prefer the Matzie swing trainer. You get the feel of a good grip and golf swing, it also promotes muscle memory.

Swing Setter is great. I would use the Swing Setter for path and the Momentus for swing speed.

I also feel that it is for a 2 plane swing. I have been working on the one plane swing and use a Momentus.
