Question wedge

I've noticed that I have not been hitting my pitching wedge as high as I use to. It has been hard for me to stick the green lately from inside a hundred yards. Is there anything I should look for that may be making a low-ball flight? Hopefully ill get to go to the range later today to sort it out. Any help would be appreciated.

I am definately not an expert, but your hands might be too far forward, or you might be putting the ball too far back in your stance?

stlcard8 has good point, check that first, if ok, then the best way too get the ball high in the air is to first; keep your spine angle steady through out the swing and concentrate on getting your right shoulder down through the ball. by doing this the ball will go high but you must keep a steady spine angle and head or otherwise it's very easy to hit fat.

Thanks for the reply. I do have my hands pretty far in front of the ball so i will definatly try moving them back. The greens at my regular course are very fast and have many ridges, so you need a high shot to keep the ball from rolling off the green.

now a 100 yard shot would be a 53* wedge for me, which you might consider a higher lofted wedge. you would be able to use your normal swing, but the higher loft will add so add much more spin.

use a softer ball, play it more in the front of your stance and hit down on the ball, usually taking a divot.. that should get it high and spinning..
