Where are older people (70ish) supposed to play from?

Seniors play from the front tees, usually red.

so if you play with a senior and he still hits from white just be like whatever?
I think he would shoot better from red, but the humility would be too much.

Age doesnt matter in golf. I've seen seniors hitting the ball along ways way past 20 30 year olds.

You can hit from any tee box that you feel comfortable hitting from there is no set rule that if you are male or female or a certain age that you have to hit from certain tees. With that being said there maybe a local course rule about higher handicappers hitting from the back tees I have also played courses that listed handicap’s and what tees they suggested you pay off. I am 59 years old and can play of the whites, blues, reds or whatever you want to call the back tees (I usually play of the whites because I am more comfortable) age and gender has nothing to do with it.

Ditto. Most courses don't have Men's, Women's or Senior tees. All tees are based on ability, not gender.

That reminds me of the joke about the guy who's hitting from the front tee and a voice comes over the loudspeaker saying. "Will the gentleman hitting from the senior tee please back up to the Blue Tee." The guy ignored the voice and continued to set up for his shot. Once again the voice blared out. "Will the gentleman hitting from the senior tee please back up to the Blue tee." Guy keeps his head down, ignoring the voice on the loud speaker. One more time the voice says "Please sir, will the gentleman hitting from the..." At this point the guy looks up, cups his hands around his mouth and yells with all his might. "Will the gentleman on the loudspeaker please shut up and let me hit my second shot."

sometimes, ill play from the white tees, if you hit it right on a couple of holes you can make eagle on par 4's.

Most seniors play the second from the front tees, the gold/yellows.

Not to say all do or should, however.

LOL that was a good one, best on here for a while.

ladies can play from any tee's , men can play from any tee's there are no rules stating who can do what as far as which markers to play from. With that being said, unless the lady is really good, I don't see her having fun from say the back tee's. Most the gals at my course can't hit the ball more then 150 yards with a driver, so you take a 580 yard par 5 and they will hate golf pretty quick.
