I hit my 7 iron 155 my 5 iron 178 and 4 iron just under 190. I play with Hogan apex blades, My PW will only travel 110-115 AT most. 55* sand wedge I hit around 55 yrds. Distances with wedges seem way off I had the Lies and lofts checked and they are stock. Any suggestions. Also the shafts on all the clubs are freqency matched pro force 75 still flex. Thanks
go to the range and practice with each club....what ever your yardage is and consistent that's your limited, within reason....don't close up or open the face...that changes everything....good luck
I used to have the same problem with wedges until I
a. moved the ball back in my stance and
b. practiced with a big rubber strap around my upper arms and torso
I was amazed how far the wedges go with so little "effort" after getting the feeling of being connected with the shorter shafts.

I had this problem also and still have to work on it. When it is happening to me I am getting scoopy, instead of treating it like the other clubs and just swinging it. It is funny that loft (mine is 56) acts in strange ways mentally on me.
could you please elaborate on the strap set up? I think you nailed my problem
I took one of those physical therapy elastic "bands" that are about 6 inches wide and made a loop tying a knot, then put the loop over my head then pull down on each side so that the band comes to just above the elbow on each arm, holding tight to the body (not too tight, just enough so that there is some resistance). Then make your wedge swings...a 3/4 swing is about the max I could acheive without breaking form (strap moving, right elbow flying) and found that I could hit my wedges 10-15 yards farther after a little practice...you have no choice but to hit with your body rotation instead of arms...I have seen people use surgical tubing that they bought from a hardware store for this as well...I believe that there is a product that does the same thing sold in golf stores...check out medical supply stores for the band...you buy it in lenghts and then cut it to your preference...these also can be used to do rotational resistance exercises. Hope this helps.
