Finding a good lesson

I've read on here some great stories about some lessons that just sound awesome and like they were worth more than people paid. I've always been a bit of an idiot, and just thought I can get it if I focus and hit enough balls. But now I really wanna fork over the cash for a good lesson with someone who can really teach me something so elementary that my game will get another buttress to grow on. How does everyone find these great teachers? Is it luck? Word of mouth? thanks

I would say some luck and word of mouth.

Some might not agree, but I would lean towards a teacher who uses video.

Let us know!

I have to agree because even if the teacher is not that great you can still learn a heck of lot by looking at video of your swing. In fact, when I got lessons I learned more this way than by what the instructor was telling me. Needless to say I wasn't too happy with the instructor.
