Head movement and a slower transition

that's it .... that's all that is left

I move my head forward about 3 inches while moving the club to the top
then I rush down some

any tips can help especially with the transition ... the head movement is just training yourself

I think what you are doing is moving your upper body backward with your hips on the back swing, this is what I used to do when I was really messing my game around a few months ago. Go to BBC golf, download ernie els slo mo swing analysis and look at it carefully. You will notice that his body is absolutely still throughout the swing, thats what you need to make sure, it really does not matter if you rush on the down swing, a lot of people do that to gain more distance and power in the swing. Also, what you need to do is, move your chin a little higher to allow your shoulders to move freely on the back swing, this will stop your head going backward on the back swing. Another tip that someone gave me yesterday is put a pencil in your mouth with its tip pointing the address position and try to keep it there throughout the swing, this will result in ensuring that you only move your arms and shoulders through the swing, the hips will automatically rotate rather than go backwards away from the target line, if you dont try to move them.
