Chipping vs. Putting grip

Since the chip swing is pretty much intended to be a putt with a club with more loft do you employ the same grip on a chip as you do with a putt? I've been experimenting trying left hand low for my putting, and was wondering if it was advisable to try the same on my chips.

I'm not sure that I agree with you regarding a chip being "a putt with a club". In fact, I don't agree with you. Depending on where you are and what kind of lie you have dictates what club you're using for the chip, how hard you wanna hit it, how much rist you involve and what type of stance you take. The only thing that should change in your putting stroke is how hard you hit it. With that being said, no, i don't recommend going left hand low on your chips - unless of course it feels good to you.

I do not change my grip from full swing game to a putter grip in order to chip.

I don't change my grip, but I do hit with more of a putting stroke on a chip or sand shot. More of a shoulder rotation shot and lots less handsy.

Anything less than full swing I have my forfinger straight along the shaft and try to wind up pointing at the target. This is my left hand but I am lefty.
This encourages a more army swing.Started it by accident a year ago and only way I can pitch, chip now.
