My divots have spoken, and they say...

Well, I was at the range yesterday and all of my divots were pointing 15 degrees left of my target. I mean, all of them. This means outside-in swing plane, and in order to hit a straight shot with that path, I have to leave the clubface open, right?

I hit a few shots that went dead left, in a straight line 15 degrees left of my target, no curve to the shot, about 15 yards further than the straight ones. That's outside-in, square face, correct?

In order to hit it to the target with that path you would have to leave the clubface open with respect to that path, but it wouldn't be a straight ball-flight, it would be a pull-fade/slice. (I am assuming you are a right-hander)

That is a straight pull. That is outside-in with the clubface square along the swing path (not the target line). (I am assuming you are a right-hander)

Yes, right-hander, and yes, I meant the face open with respect to that path. Shots are straight/slight fade.

Yep. I think part of what I'm doing is letting my left arm get away from my chest on the downswing which is bringing me outside my swing plane.

i have the exact same problem where my divots were going left and i would slice badly from an outside in swing path. I think my problem was 2 fold.
I was coming outside in and also my follow through was going to far to the left.

But i got one lesson and the guy mainly worked on my bringing the club straight back and swining at 80%.
