what is tiger doing with that strange follow through of his hands and wrist?

Really it's nothing to do with the hands, it's really just a folding of the arms at the elbows, and it helps him control distance and trajectory.

It's a great follow through to promote proper rotation and it also helps with distance control. Watch closely how he varies it.

I don't look at anything Tiger does as strange. I look at it and think I'm witness to about at close to perfection as you can get.

He does have a very high followthrough, but ThreeFeathers is right. Watch how he changes it depending on what type of shot he's trying to hit. Just goes to show how much follow through actually effects your shot.

I use that follow through on almost all my shots except for my driver and longer irons, helps control my backspin and distances
