Okay, the first thing is What causes a slice. Answer: it's just like a curve ball ... the ball is spinning sideways, it catches the air, and curves to the side. So what causes a ball to spin to the side? Well, it almost goes without saying that the ball will go where the clubface is looking at the moment of impact. So, that must mean that the clubface is open at impact. But, since a slice is actually curving to the right then the face of the club must be open
relative to the direction the club head is traveling . Now this can be caused by a number of reasons. Improper grip, improper hand action, incorrect arm action, trying to hit the ball too hard, or a combination of all these things. Not only that, it's also likely that not only is the club face open at impact but that the club is traveling across the target line from outside to inside. (The famous out-to-in swing)
Without seeing your swing, it would be impossible to guess which of these causes are the culprit for your slice. But don't despair. This gives you some things to look at to find the problem yourself.
The simplest fix and it might work for you, is to strengthen you grip. Try turning you hands slightly clockwise on the grip. Try this first and see if you get good results. Don't overdo it though. Too strong a grip and you'll be fighting a hook.
