Legs in the Swing

I was just wondering how the legs affect the swing.
Most golfers i see barely move there legs on the back swing, then you see people like Colin Montgomerie who use there legs alot.

My better down swing starts from weight shift to left (right hand golfer) by rotating my right hip and kick right knee to the ball. My swing fault is that I start my down swing from upper torso, it's not very bad but I'll get more power from ground up by rotating my right hip to the ball and finish the swing with 95% of weight on left leg.
