Upswing at impact

I had a video swing analysis today. Found out my swing speed is 95-105, but the interesting part was the shot of my club facing upward at impact. Not straight up but up none the less.

I have always hit a high ball and now I know why. Tried moving the ball back in my stance and same result.

Any thoughts on what causes this?

Which club are you talking about? If it's your driver, that's not a problem.

You may be releasing your wrists too early, Therefore the clubface is in front. Try releasing more late, and really drive into the ball.

Yes, driver. I thought this would take away some distance, no?

I would have to say no. The ideal moment of impact on the driver is just after it bottoms out. Slightly on the upturn of the arc.

I would get a stiff flex shaft with a lower kick point. Less kick at the bottom of the swing will get you a more penetrating trajectory.

I bought a graphite TM QUAD Stiff 8.5* over the weekend, I took it to the range, it does have a lower flight and more distance. Maybe I finally found the right driver for my swing.

Thanks.

First off a swing spped between 95 and 105 is a huge difference.

Assuming that's correct, and you're using a 10.5 loft head with a average flex shaft, you're lookat a difference of approximately 34 yards in carry alone.

First thing you need to do is go back, get your exact swing speed figured out...and then find out what your ball spin is at.

Once you have those two variables confirmed, you can look at a head/shaft combo best suited for you.
...but till then, you're shooting in the dark.
